We have a range of 12V solar panel systems that can be used for many applications including with our wildlife cameras. These can be used in conjunction with any system running of 12V, such as our digital wireless camera kits, and nest box cameras.

A solar panel is connected directly to a controller which governs the amount of charge delivered to the rechargable battery. It is then fed directly to the wildlife camera via the power lead. A further controller can be added (in some kits this is already included), to set a timer for which the wireless tranmission take place. For instance placing a timer to turn the battery switch in the hours of 6am to 6pm. It is possible to further control the operation through the use of a wireless switch kit.

The time duration available from the solar panel system primarily depend on the sizing of the solar panels, battery capacity, and the sunlight illumintaion available. A larger solar panel will offer a greater area to capture more sunlight energy if positioned correctly depending on the direction it is facing, whether installed in partial shaded area, amongst a few other factors. The solar panel systems we offer, and perfectly sized for our wildlife camera systems, offering many hours of live footage a day.

We can offer bespoke solutions for complete wildlife camera system running off renewable energies for remote applications where a power source is unavailable. Let us know either by giving us a call or sending us an email, and we'd be more than happy to help.
