Detailed Description

All our cameras we supply have built in high resolution color, audio and night vision as standard.
This is a CMOS camera offering up to 628 x 582 Resolution - 700TVL horizontal resolution when rounded up.

This is one of the best valued wired bird box camera kits available on the market today and ideal for anyone who wishes to watch nature close up from their living room on a TV/monitor, or with the additional use of a USB convertor connect to a PC/MAC.

Supplied in the kit is a well presented packaging box making it ideal as a gift, a 20m cable, a small camera - the size of a small matchbox, and a power supply unit aswell as basic fixings and an instruction manual.

Camera
The camera itself is small (size of a match box) and fitted on a tiltable bracket making installation ideal for all sorts of nest boxes, bird feeders, and general habitat nature spy.
Don't be fooled with the amateur models that look exactly the same but contain cheaper inferior chips.

Built in night vision allows you to watch in dark environments and during night hours were insufficient lighting is present through it's 6 front faced infrared LEDs. Offering a maximum night vision range of 2m, this makes it well suitable for small nest boxes from garden birds to larger ones for owls, or even for viewing hedgehogs at night.
When activated, the camera will switch from operation in colour mode to B&W. Using infrared (IR) no glow LEDs allows the nesting occupents to be unaware the invisible ligthing is switched on.

As with most of our nest boxes a wider angled lens is presintalled for a better viewing angle particullary for smaller nesting environments.
Should this need to be prefocused, this can be acheived by twisting the lens either CW/CCW by hand, and can be removed if an even wider lens were to be installed.

The 3 in 1 cable connects directly to the camera leads (within the nest box on top of the camera), and with the other end this splits into audio, video, and power. The AV lead connects directly to the back of a TV/Monitor through the AV input. Scart & HDMI adpators are available separately.
The third cable at the end connects directly to a 12V mains power supply.
