When it comes to the Browning Dark Ops Extreme, the name of the game is adjustability. You can change the distance over which motion is detected, you can switch between two different trigger times of either 0.4 or 0.7 seconds, you can adjust the IR flash to your liking and make myriad other tweaks and alterations as you see fit.
For example, the 16 megapixel capture capability that this trail camera offers is just the maximum; if you want to set it lower to save space and battery, that is entirely possible. You can also alter between shooting modes, with time-lapse capabilities and a multi-shot setting accounting for both long term surveillance as well as instantaneous capturing of the action.
This budget-friendly trail camera goes a step further than its competitors by not only recording 720p HD video clips of up to 2 minutes in length, but also by recording audio at the same time to give you a real sense of the time and place. Reviewing footage is simple thanks to the TV out, or you can use the USB port to transfer media directly to a compatible computer.
You will need to install 6 AA batteries to get this trail camera up and running and these are not included as standard. However, since it is compatible with lithium batteries as well as standard alkaline cells, it should be able to perform admirably if left for long periods out in the wild.
