The Spypoint Force XD is a resilient, compact and cost-conscious trail camera that benefits from a number of impressive technical capabilities, including 12-megapixel image capture and high definition video recording, wrapped up in a camouflaged casing.
Spypoint Force XD
Whether you need a trail camera for daylight surveillance or after dark wildlife photography, the Spypoint Force XD represents a great value prospect.
The first feature to note is, of course, the fact that this camera can shoot 12 megapixel photographs without breaking a sweat. It can be set to capture at lower resolutions and there are a host of other tweaks and adjustments that the user can make if they wish.
Changing the settings is simple because this camera has a built-in screen on the rear, which also acts as a means of reviewing the photos and videos that have been recorded.
The 42 infrared LEDs which make up the flash array of this camera are of a low glow variety, which means that they are tricky to see at night within the visible spectrum and should, therefore, do little to deter subjects which wander into the range of the motion sensor.
The trigger speed of the Force XD is 0.3 seconds, making it faster than some other value-oriented products, while the inclusion of a multi-shot modes means that you can set it to take 4 photos in a row when it is triggered.
The shell which protects the components of the Spypoint Force XD is camouflaged thanks to its dappled green paintwork, and is also made to be durable in the face of adverse conditions which can be reasonably anticipated in many of its intended uses.
You only need six AA batteries to get this trail camera up and running, or you can invest in a separate rechargeable battery pack to use in its place. External power can be supplied via a 12V jack if you wish.
